What Is This Site?
The purpose of this site is to help students generate a substantial income using the internet, and to leave behind student loans, evening and weekend jobs, and tight schedules. When you're going through university or college, you want to be able to focus your mind on your studies don't you? And when you're not studying, you want to be able to have a social life and some good relaxation time. Most students who also hold a part time job end up working about 50 - 60 hours a week with their school work. Unreal! It's my hope that more students will do what I'm doing, and take control of their financial life and stop slaving away for someone else. It is possible!
Getting Started
So let's get started. How do we make money online? Well, the basic concept is that if you can create a website that draws traffic to it, you can make money. The more traffic you draw, the more money you'll make! Now, I know for a fact that there are those of you reading this right now who are thinking to themselves "Create a website? I don't know the first thing about creating a website!" Well to that I say, just relax. It's easy to be intimidated by it, but it's really not that bad. A website is simply a collection of files, just like the collection of Word documents you have in your "My Documents" folder. I'll explain more about creating websites in the building sites page of this site.
So anyway, back on topic, once you have a website that people are drawn to, you have what so many companies and advertisers out there want. People's eyes!!! Other people will then pay you to advertise on your site. And the great thing about advertising on the internet is that you don't have to wait until you have thousands of visitors before people want to advertise on your site. You can get them on there right away! Two great ways of getting advertising on your site are through affiliate marketing and Google AdSense, both of which I will speak of in more detail. I know that this may sound like a daunting and confusing task, but I assure you that getting advertising on your site is cake! The companies out there have made it very easy for you to do it.
So that's the concept behind making money online. Now let's dive into a little more detail about building websites.
